THE HAVANT MEALS SERVICE

What do we do?

Meals on Wheels

We provide meals at home to housebound people: a hot meal and dessert three times a week with frozen meals to cover the non-delivery days. The price of a meal is £3.10.

How do I get meals for myself or a relation or friend?

Simply ask your GP, Social Worker, District Nurse or Housing Scheme Warden to contact us and make a referral, and we will do the rest.

Lunch Clubs

We also supply food to local lunch clubs in the Havant area, as well as operating two lunch clubs ourselves. These are held at the Emsworth Centre, South Street, Emsworth and the Jubilee Centre, Mill Rd, Waterlooville. The price of a two-course meal is also £3.10.

I'd like to help as a volunteer meals delivery driver - how do I go about it?

The Meals Service relies on Volunteer support to deliver our services to elderly and vulnerable members of our community.  This may include delivering meals to those who are struggling through ill health or assisting with our Lunch Clubs in Emsworth or Waterlooville.   You can offer as much or as little time as you wish, and will be part of a vital service in the community.  You will need to supply references and undergo a CRB check. Out of pocket expenses are paid.
